David has spent most of the past two decades as an attorney, working both in-house and in private practice with public and private companies. David’s practice emphasizes technology and licensing transactions, author and publisher representation, advising clients with respect to the legal issues arising in their daily business operations, and the representation of emerging companies.
Most recently, David served as Vice President, Legal Affairs for Thomson NETg, a $150 million learning business that integrated content, technology and services for over 1,000 customers and millions of end-users domestically and internationally. He was part of the NETg leadership team that completed the sale of NETg in a $285MM transaction which closed in 2007.
Prior to joining NETg, David worked with NETg’s then parent company, Harcourt General, where he managed both NETg’s legal needs and the legal needs of Harcourt’s medical publishing businesses. He has also been associated with two large Boston law firms.
David graduated with honors from Boston College in 1988. David also graduated from Boston College Law School, in 1993, where he finished in the top 10% of his graduating class and served as a member of the Boston College Law Review. He is a member of both the Massachusetts (1993) and Florida (2009) bars.
David is married to his wife, Lisa, and has two sons. He and his family reside in Orlando, Florida.
